Traditional Usages and Functions

Clears heat and quells fire, particularly in Upper Burner; drains damp heat; clears heat and calms the fetus; subdues ascending Liver Yang; harmonizes function between Liver and Spleen by treating Gallbladder.

Bupleurum and Dragon Bone; Cimicafuga; Gentiana; Minor Bupleurum; Prunella and Scutellaria; QiangHuo and Turmeric; Rhubarb and Scutellaria; Tang Gui and Gardenia.
